
World of Warcraft: opened registration for the 2010 Arena Tournament
In the wow fansite forums World of Warcraft, Blizzard has posted a message about the registration at the online soccer 2010 Arena Tournament .
"Registration for the 2010 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament is now open." - The one sentence World of Warcraft players across the world have been anxiously awaiting over the past few weeks. The Tournament Realm has finally arrived with over $200,000 in cash prizes ready to be awarded to the finest teams around the globe.
Over a span of six weeks, teams will compete in the 3v3 Arena Tournament for a minuscule registration fee of $20 for each player. Every player will be able to create up to three customized level 80 characters with gear from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The first two weeks will be strictly played for practice and ratings will be reset to 1500 starting on the third week. From there, teams will fight their way up the ranks to earn their chance at the global invitational, where first place will take home $75,000. In addition, the tournament will receive a unique pet Armored Murloc, and fighters 1000 Best Team Awards and more specific title.
This is a PvP competition like no other, with $200,000 in prize money up for grabs. If you think you have mad WoW skillz, this 3 vs. 3 tourney is your chance to prove it with the class and equipment of your choosing. There is a $20 entrance fee, and it's played on a special server where players have access to maxed out characters and their choice of gear. The 2010 Arena Tournament gets underway on April 27.
